911 Calls:
Yes, Chatr mobile customers that require emergency assistance can dial 9-1-1 any time, free on the chatr mobile network.

Using SMS and iMessage
Chatr Canada includes unlimited incoming text messages (SMS) and unlimited international text messages (SMS). SMS messages are green on iPhones. With iMessage you can send texts, photos, videos, locations and contacts to other iPhones, iPods and iPads. iMessages are Blue on iPhone. iMessage works the same way as sending a text. Your iPhone will check to see whether the recipient's using a compatible device. You'll be able to tell whether you're sending an iMessage or a text by the colour of the contacts name and the send button.
