Let's look at how you can find out if your phone is esim compatible.

iPhone
First we suggest you verify the iPhone is unlocked. Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll down to the "Carrier Lock" section. If it says, “No SIM restrictions” it means that your iPhone is unlocked.
Now, to find out if your iPhone supports eSIMs, you must follow these steps. Go to Settings > Cellular. On this screen in the area "SIMs" you will see the active Sim cards on your phone. Tap on the "Add eSIM" option. If you get the option to scan a QR code, then your iPhone does support eSim.

Samsung
Go to Settings > Connections > Sim card manager > Add mobile plan. If the "Add Mobile Plan" is available, it should mean that your Samsung device supports eSIM. You can also tap “IMEI” in the search bar of your settings, and the option “IMEI information” (or similar) should show up. If the “IMEI (eSIM)” is available, it means that your device supports eSIM.

Google Pixel
Go to Settings > Networks and Internet > Advanced. Look for the option to "Add Operator". Finally, after this, you will be asked for authorization to use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code. If all of these steps are successful, your Google Pixel is eSIM capable.

Huawei
Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Sim Management > Add SIM or eSIM. If you are able to complete each step, you will see that your smartphone is compatible with eSIM.

Motorola
Go to Settings > Internet & Networks > Mobile Network > Advanced > Carrier. Tap Add Carrier > Next. The screen for scanning the QR code will appear. At this point you can be certain your Motorola is compatible with eSIM.

Nokia
